What is InfoSign?
InfoSign is a "light" (or stripped-down) eSignature solution that offers a basic workflow for distributing documents for signature at no cost to the end user.
Basic features it shares with SignIT include:
Mark up documents with input fields for other parties to sign, initial, date, or approve
Add viewers to a document, who will receive email updates and a copy of the original and signed document after it is executed.
Track each signing party's progress, including whether they have viewed or signed the document.
Send reminders when a party has not executed the document.
Currently, InfoSign is only available to Smokeball users.
What is SignIT (powered by DocuSign)?
SignIT is a full-featured eSignature solution—powered by DocuSign—that matches the core capabilities of leading eSignature solutions for a flat, per-document-envelope fee.
SignIT's transactional pricing model makes it easier to pass signature fees through to a firm's client.
Premium features of SignIT that are not present in InfoSign include:
Signature templates can be saved for common document types, allowing the user to designate markup/signature areas on a document in one click.
Witnesses can be saved for use on future documents.
Generate signing certificates listing details such date and time a document was signed and the IP address of the signee.
How to choose which service to use
Starting from the Matter view, click the Electronic Signatures (SignIT) button or the corresponding link on the All Services menu.
After importing your document(s) into the signing workflow, a decision tree will ask if you want to use DocuSign (SignIT) or InfoSign as your electronic signatures provider, and remind you of the key differences between each service.
Users who select InfoSign will be provided with a basic registration link (no credit card required) to activate the service.
