Filing into an existing case in InfoTrack is often a shorter workflow than filing a new case. Once you're able to find your case using InfoTrack's search tools, existing information is retrieved from the court docket so you don't have to re-enter it.

If you're not integrated with a matter in your primary legal software, you can start this process from the Orders screen.

Starting a subsequent filing from the Orders screen

  1. Click the File Into Existing Case action button.

  2. Choose your court location from the drop-down menu.

  3. Search for your case by case number, party name, or any other parameter allowed by your court.

  4. Select the appropriate case.

  5. Complete all required fields and submit your filing.

The subsequent filing process is even easier if you're integrated with a matter in your primary legal software, because InfoTrack can find your case in the docket automatically, without requiring a search.

Starting a subsequent filing from the Matter view

  1. Click the File Into Case action button.

  2. Complete all required fields and submit your filing.
