If a customer calls in and is experiencing issues Scheduling a Hearing date on a Cook County, Illinois eFiling, for example, in most cases they will receive red messaging stating β€˜No Available Dates’.

First ensure the customer is trying to schedule a hearing date during court hours. Hearing dates cannot be scheduled online outside of open court hours.

Next, ensure the customer has selected a Motion Type from the Motion Type drop down on the filing page. (This can be done by reviewing the customers Logrocket session).

If the customer has done the above steps they may be experiencing issues due to the Cook County Calendar System (on the courts side) experiencing intermittent issues. If the filing is still in the submitted status the customer can cancel the filing and attempt it again at a later time when the calendar is back online. (we do not know when the calendar is online/offline the customer should generally wait at least half an hour and try again).

If the customers filing has already been accepted and they cannot schedule a hearing date over the phone with the clerk, advise them to file their Notice of Motion document and leave the hearing date and time blank on the document. When filing the NOM, on the filing page have them enter a comment in the Comment to the Clerk field that the NOM hearing date and time is blank due to being unable to schedule a hearing date at the time of filing the Motion and if they could please enter a hearing date when reviewing and accepting the filing.

Lastly, we have had customers report that some Judges in Cook County turn off their calendars which also will cause the No Dates Available message. The customer will have to call the Court Clerk to verify this.
