When initiating a new case filing, the workflow will advise what parties need to be entered at minimum by the court. The customer may then choose to add additional parties to the order and select their respective roles.
However, in some situations when the order is validated they may receive the following error message “Case party type ‘3387’ only allowed once.” This happens when a a specific role has been designated more than once and it is not allowed to be per the Court.
If your receive this inquiry, it is best practice to ask the customer to save a draft of their order, so you can proxy in to see what role has been entered more than once. Next compare to the Court site workflow to confirm if the role is only allowed once. If it is then provide what role options are available to select from for additional parties. The customer will then need to make the next best selection and after the secondary role has been changed, the order will be able to be validated and submitted without further issue.
Example:
Defendant Role has been entered more than once.
The error message then presents when the order is validated.
Per eFileTX workflow “Defendant” is not available for additional parties.
Update the roles in the InfoTrack workflow.
Then, the order will validate so it can be submitted.
