Updated this week

Presently in San Mateo County Superior Court for civil, probate and family case types, the only security level to select from on the document level is “sealed."

The court is aware of the issue and is working closely with the EFM (Tyler) to resolve.

They have instructed users to select “sealed.” The court is still looking at every document submitted and determining which documents will not be sealed, and which will be.

If a document does need to be sealed, it is reported to a supervisor and then sealed.

If a document does not need to be sealed, the court will not seal the document and file the standard way.

We currently do not have an ETA for when this will be resolved. Once it has been fixed, the customer will see the additional options of the document's security level dropdown.
